Image Manipulation

“A picture is worth a thousand words”. Designers often use imagery to grab an audience’s attention and to establish an immediate connection with the audience.

It is critical in the design process to distinguish between different picture kinds and to create or pick acceptable imagery for each application. The appropriate image may help us connect and communicate with our intended audience, whilst the wrong picture might confuse and alienate them.

How can we be certain that we are selecting the best picture for our designs? This project was therefore designed to learn about the distinctions between symbols, logos, and representational and informative images, as well as how they work in design and communication.
